Anyone can practice magic. It's a tool, not a religion.

And really---the Bible has been misinterpreted over the years, so you can't really take it too literally.

Ok...I will try to stay on point as much as I can with this one, cause I can ramble a bit lol

Magick does not go against the Catholic faith. If anything, it and ritual magick are a big part of it, simply called something else.

What is a prayer? It is words spoken to a higher being asking for them to smile on you for various reasons. Thanking them for what they have given you.
What is a spell in most of the paths that follow magick? The exact same thing. The difference, is the name of the god and the manner in which it is done.

When you go to church, you can light a candle ( for money lol ) and say a prayer. The candle stays lit and you do so in the house of god in hopes to amplify your prayer.
How is that any different from candle magick? You are lighting it as a tool to amplify your spell. Some do so within their alter, or as many magick users believe, the world is your alter ( I use the word alter loosly as it seems to be more of a wiccan thing, but whatever ). The difference, is the word and manner in which it is done.

Mass alone is ritual after ritual giving thanks to god. How many pagan's have similar things to honor their gods? ( I will leave out the fact that the Catholic mass is actually a rip off of pagan rituals from many centuries ago, used to help convert people with something familiar ).

There is magick all around the Catholic church. They simply do not call it magick.

I watch, from time to time, the 700 club. I try not to because the hypocricy annoys the hell out of me. But I noticed something one day after the extremist started talking about how "Charmed" was destroying the youth of America. They have a section of the show where Pat, some broad and his son sit there, close their eyes and mention people with certian medical issues, or any other issues. For example they will say " theres a woman who is depressed from finacial strain" or " there is a man who has prostate cancer ( Im being real vauge )"...and they follow it by saying they are sneding God's love to heal them, and to feel the warmth of love around them. I wondered...how is this any different from healing magick?

The difference, is words used to describe the intent. Nothing more.

If god truely loves all, why would he not bless people with the ability to help others in a non conventional way? Look at the Saints. To be a saint, you must preform a miracle. Those "miracles" were magick....with a different name.

Don't worry about those who give you crap for being a christian and practicing magick. The ones who do are nothing more than ignorant fools who do not fully understand what magick is, and how it ties in with true christianity.

he misunderstood me as always im trying to make a point, christains not catholics -.- think that what we do is related to the occult & goes against *god* ok im not saying its true im just stating what the bible said.& if its soooo alike why cant you go up to the church & say *hey im a pagan*?yeah sure its because we have differences & christains will sterotype.but you cant be in a religion & make up your own damn rules you follow their rules.like you cant be wiccan & not do magick thats just pointless.& i wasent attacking you,i feel so sorry for you if you took it that way =/

So typical, stereotyping religions. Bound to the matter without having his own opinion. I believe that there are few wiccans that don't do magic. I'm sorry, but I think ur mislead.

------------------------------------
Back to more christian stuff. Last week I went to a mass 4 my dead friend and I was shocked. My church looked like an Egyptian temple (interior). I haven't been around much so this really was a disappointment. They are actually making kids go to church few times a day. U can't make someone religious -.-'
And of course the greed never died. Our priest loves the money more than his eyes. This is happening in my hometown which is small. What is going on then in big cities?!
I think this religion needs to be brought back to it's roots.
