Hi guys, my real name is Jay, but I go by Sola. I started practicing during the summer of 2011. My sign is the pisces and I am an ox. I'm what people would call an "enlightenment stoner". I smoke a lot of marijuana but when I do, I draw and meditate. The element I feel closest to is fire, I've always been drawn to flame and I can't help but feel better when I have candles lit in my room. My father doesn't like that I practice but my mother sometimes joins in on my spells.
I don't think there's a difference between white magic and black magic because the goddesses I chose to follow...Gaia and Nyx...are both light and dark, and there has to be a balance between "good" magic and "bad". Nyx and Gaia are the goddesses that I choose to believe in and ask for guidance from.
Nyx was a daughter of Chaos (and so a SISTER of Gaia, and with her brother Erebus (Darkness) she bore: Air, Hemera, Aether (Light), Moros (Destiny), Thanatos (Death), Hypnos (Sleep), Morpheus (Dreams), The Fates, The Keres, Eris, Momus (Ridicule), Oizys (Distress), Apate (Deceit), Care, and Nemesis. Her realm was in the far West beyond the land of Atlas.
Gaia is known as the Greek Goddess of the earth. She is the all-loving mother and represents life.
My beliefs don't have to match yours and I certainly don't expect them too.
I don't believe in "God" I believe in Erebus, Nyx's consort, and the horned demon as the "god's" of the world. I'm not a satanist, but I do believe in darkness.
I chose the name Sola, meaning "she who is alone" because I always have been alone and I don't go looking for people. I tend to stick to myself and the main people I talk to aren't...well...socially accepted. Like me.
I have much to learn and I don't pretend to be an expert. Anyone willing to teach me anything is welcome and I check this site often.
My newest adventure is learning to open my third eye and astral project. I know the dangers of it but I am very interested.
