Dressing A Candle

To remove previous energies.

Chose type and colour of candle appropriate for ritual.
Cleanse the candle of prior energies: you may use water, salt, pure soap, or baby oil (all previously blessed and consecrated.)
Bless and consecrate oil to be used, appropriate to the ritual.
State and engrave (if you wish) what the candle is to represent.
Anoint the candle with oil and focus on desire (purpose of the ritual.)
Bless and consecrate the candle.
Meditate on desired outcome.
Some people do not use matches to light the candles, the sulfur is considered unclean.
Do not blow or pinch the flame out when using candles. Blowing a candle out blows desires away, and pinching a flame pinches desires.
Wave your hand over the flame hard enough to make a breeze to put it out.
