Red brick dust is a very old, tried and true method to help guard against malevolent magick and repel evil of all kinds. And, it is something that is easily obtained.
All one need do is find old red bricks (the older the better) and smash them with a hammer until they are a pile of dust. You can then add a handfull to your basic floor wash and clean your floors, window-sills and thresholds.
You can also lay thin lines of red brick dust against the boards of entries, under carpets and on window-sills to keep evil from entering.
Red brick dust is a very practical medium that should be a mainstay in every witches cupboard.
