In both you need to believe in Satan as what he is! Do not consider him as the horned devil from the christian bible.
Desire sonthing good : 1) Sit in a confortable position in your room or where you want but make sure there is nobody home to biturb you (silence is the top ingredient in all of this).
2) Think of what maakes you most happy and visualize that in your mind over and onver until you think it is enogh.
3) Ask Satan for his help and say whatever you want (good things). After you finish you can wait and see if it worked.
Desire something evil : Just like above, but instead of thinking of good things, think at what you hate the most. Good Luck!
