I'm writing a spell for a friend of mine who desires to be reunited with his long-lost father who pretty much has been absent his entire life.

I have come up with the perfect spell for him to cast, but in the last verse of my incantation, I have reached an impasse around which preposition is best to use:

The final couplet of my spell is (w/ emphasis on the last verse):

"Angels, spirits, guides divine:
Reunite us now through time"

but I'm not sure whether to use "THROUGH time" or "IN time"... My first instinct while I was thinking this up was to use THROUGH, as my friend and his father are separated by state - and country, for that matter (friend is here, dad is in Russia). THROUGH connotes the presence of "distance" in all facets of the word, which is especially true for this situation. I'm not sure what connotation would be given by using IN instead, which is why I need some help here.
