I tried searching around for an answer to my question but I could not find it. Sorry if this sounds dense but is it a good or bad thing for the jar to be covered in wax from candle burning? I've read that the wax that falls onto the sides of a jar are compared to "tears". When I started the jar, there was a lot of wax residue, but not so much when I burn candles now. I'm wondering if I should remove the old wax from the jar or keep burning candles on top of the old wax? Basically, I want to know if the wax strengthens the jar in any way or if it should removed since it is compared to something negative?

Also, I did not add herbs to my jar when I first created it. Would it be ok to add them in now that I have some, or is it best to leave the jar as is?
