Hey, I was just wondering. If magic is based off of our practice (which increases skill) would it be possible to cast a spell to render a person's power (skill/ability) useless. I personally don't believe in the Wiccan gods, but that of a different faith. And I personally believe that the spirits of ancestors and those connected to the god and goddess (of my faith) are the entities that grant us the help to cast successful spells, And I'm sure, but not completely certain, that that's how wiccans view their magick to come about, except it's directly from their gods.

And I've been thinking, after seeing this forum on what power truly is and how we connect to it. Is it possible to cast a spell to help sever the link between a witch and the spirits/gods. I'm asking as an old friend of mine is using magick for something really bad, as in vengeance, and as we all know, in pantheons, there are god and goddesses that like doing bad things to certain people, and It's the same with spirits.

Which scares me as, if the spirits helping her are that way, they'll be happier the more she does it, and might help her more by giving more energy towards the intentions she sets out to them. So my major question is,

Does it make sense to cast a spell to remove her ever-growing link to them?

Something like a binding ritual which will bind her intentions, stopping her from sending them out, so that they won't reach the spirits. Does that make sense? 'Cause if so, than I'll be able to alter a binding spell I have written to be more powerful, as in mentioning the cause, using more spiritual items for a better connection etc, etc.
