I'm trying to find some information on alchemy and it's practice. I'm hoping to find some of the older obscure writings of medieval alchemist because I'd like to have a better understanding into the practice and philosophy of it. So does anyone know any good books or other sources that would help out? I'd appreciate it a lot. Thank you in advanced

Just so it's said, this has nothing to do with the anime show, nor the desire to literally transform metals from one element to another.
