Once you have learned the basics and can do them you can focus on casting and rituals. Many people may argue with me on this but items and styles are the least of your concern in any magical workings.

Intent/ your goal you wish to accomplish is the main importance. You cant get what you want if you don't know what that is. You should make sure you are clear on the results you desire before performing your working.

When you feel you know your intent and can focus then your ready to work magic. The tools you use after should be things that help with the desired result you want. You do not have to have all the tools a certain spell or ritual tells you. If you focus on your intent fully then the sky is the limit :)

No I am not a fluff and I'm not saying you can control mother nature or do transformation spells but a lot of magic is about believing you can do something :)

Focusing on your intent is very important also. Losing your focus during any working can change the outcome. Make sure you do your magic when you can have undisturbed time.
