Well, I cast my first spell tonight. Not a smooth as I would have liked! Casting the circle went well, but I needed to follow notes and did not provide myself with enough light. My spell also involved tipping 2 candles together so the flames would be joined while I focused. (binding love spell) Problem was that the votive candles I used would not stay together. Kept melting the sides. I need to find a better way to keep them together while I focus. Not horrible for a first attempt and I did feel the power, but hopefully it will go better next time!
