To use chat on mobile devices such as Cell Phones, iPods, iPads, etc, you must use the mobile site. From there login to your account and go to the "Public Chatter" link on the menu page. If you are in a coven and wish to view the coven's chat then you click on the link that says, "[Coven name] chatter". Even though you need to refresh the page occasionally to see what others in the chat have said. This is a small inconvenience for the ability to use SoM's chat virtually anywhere, but the reward for such a small inconvenience such as refreshing the page occasionally is a worth the ability to speak directly with others.
