Before starting on this I would like to say our meditation practice is a reflection of our current life.
So you have been meditating for a while. You are getting to your ideal moment and then your nose starts to itch.

What do you do?
Do you scratch it or wait?
What do you do when your body really wants to move?
What do you do if your leg falls asleep?

So what do I do? I meditate on it. I feel the pain or need rise. I will bring the desire to my awareness. Such as thinking to myself ?Itch, itch, itch.? Or ?tingle tingle, tingle.? This keeps my meditation on the present. As I sit with this uncomfortable moment. I find this discomfort is just energy shifting around. After sitting on this; I have a choice- I can scratch it or move along in the moment.
If you do scratch I urge you to feel your movements of your hand lifting your arm lifting the hand. The touch before the initial scratch and so forth.
When I meditate I try to keep in mind am I reacting or making a choice. Our reactions are seen as choices that we make but they are truly only things we have done in the past reliving it with muscle memory.
Everything we do falls under one of the following- Pleasant, Unpleasant, or neutral.
