I have a passion about discrimination, specifically religious discrimination within society. I want to change how religion is treated in society and help spread a better understanding of religion and spirituality. I am in no way interested in converting people to my or any religion, but I want to help educate people and spread a better awareness to reduce social religious discrimination.

However, I have no idea how or where to direct this passion, or if I could even make a difference. I hate to sound preachy in saying this, but I am really passionate about this and have nowhere to direct it.

Soon I am considering going to Uni to study English Literature and Creative Writing, my strengths and talents, and want to train to be an English teacher at Secondary School after. I think I wouldn't be able to turn around now and start studying a different subject, plus these are my core strengths and other passions in life.

Would anyone be able to give me some advice on this? Even if it's just some ideas for how I could use my strengths and (hopefully!) future qualifications to my advantage. Anything you can contribute to the thread would be appreciated.
