So, since we are talking about teaching, I wanted to share my requires reading list. Now, this list is continually a work in progress. But, for those that do not have an in-person teacher, it can be a great help. This is also the order that I recommend them be read in.

Sane Occultism (republished as What is Occultism) by Dion Fortune
Path Notes of an American Ninja Master by Dr. Glenn Morris
Shadow Strategies of an American Ninja Master by Dr. Glenn Morris
Simplified Qabalah Magic by Ted Andrews
The Etheric Double by A.E. Powell
The Astral Body by A.E. Powell
The Mental Body by A.E. Powell
The Causal Body by A.E. Powell
The Mystical Qabalah by Dion Fortune
The Tree of Life by Israel Regardie
The Weiser Concise Guide to Yoga and Magick by Nancy Wasserman
Richard Bandler's Guide to Trance-formation by Richard Bandler
Master of the Temple by Eric Ericson

In my opinion, these are absolutely required reading. They will give a firm foundation to begin the study of magic. And don't discredit Dr. Morris' books based on the titles. The man was fantastic. I've actually trained with one of his students he mentions in the introduction to Shadow Strategies. His art was really impressive. I will ususally have the student read these in conjunction with doing magic studies. For someone without a teacher, I would read these first, and then start studying magic.
