Who wrote The Holy Bible?

Well, the Prophets of God did. God spoke through the Prophets himself.

Moses made the first five books of the bible. They are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Some called the books Pentateuch (which refer to the first five books), Book of Moses, or Book of Laws. These books were written so people know what happens when we obey God, and when we do not.

A group of people made The Books of History in the Old Testament by Joshua, Samuel, Jeremiah, Ezra, and Nehemiah. The Books of History included: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. These books were written to let everyone know about what happened to God's people.

David and Solomon, father and son were kings of Israel. Some leaders and them wrote the Books of Poetry. Some people called them Wisdom Literature. These books were to show how people how to live and pray to God. These books include: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon.

The Books of the Major Prophets were made by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel. Major does not mean they are more important or the message of God is better. It means their books are stronger than Minor Prophets.

Prophets named: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi wrote The Books of the Minor Prophets. These books are important, but are the shortest ones written. The prophets names are also the name of books in The Book of the Minor Prophets.

Now you know the Old Testament books.
