When a person holds a crystal some of their energy or "vibrations" are imprinted on it. You can do this with any object but clear quartz works wonders. To learn how to read a crystal you need at least one partner and a crystal. Start by cleansing the crystal in salt water or smudging it. One of you holds the crystal and focuses on a memory or visualizes something as strongly as possible. When you feel you have imprinted on the stone let your partner take it. The person reading it then focuses on the crystal until they get a clear image in their mind of the imprint. This may take many attempts but don't be discouraged. Once you get the hang of it you wont have to have the person focus and will sense the imprint naturally
