The pagan pentagram has five different points. The bottom four stand for the more well known elements earth, air, fire, and water. But what about the top one? It stands for the fifth element, spirit, or "Akasha." It is the force that resides in everything. It is the creator of the other four in the beliefs of many. One way to think of the five elements is with a person to represent it. Your arms and legs are very important, but what are they without your head? The Akasha is the force that controlled other forces, the God and Goddess in traditional Wicca are thought of as two parts to the same thing, right? That thing, that allmighty force, is the Akasha.
