Just a bit of information for the uninformed..

An amulet is something akin to a good luck and protection charm. It could be a ring, gem, plant, or any other item (sometimes even a word or phrase) but the most well known is a pendant. When making one, you cleanse the item and charge it to protect you from harm. It would also be a good idea to ask your god/goddess to bless it if you work with any.

A talisman is an object that is charged with magical properties designed for a particular purpose. Obviously you would want to cleanse this item first so other energies do not effect it. It could be charged with your own energy, that of the earth, moon, another practitioner, even a powerful entity. Make sure that whatever it is charged with suites the purpose you are going to set it with.

Sorry it is so short, but I just wanted to clarify the difference between the two since many do not answer that question when brought up in the chat. Feel free to add whatever :)
