Hi. After years of reading Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion and the rest of Tolkien's works, it occurred to me that everything he wrote about just made too much sense for it to be only a story. I wasn't sure if he knew what he was doing, or if we was subconsciously channeling deeper energies, but it became apparent that he was tapping into a magical system with limitless potential.

It took a long time, but through my own experimentation I confirmed this, and actually began to work out some of it. I fear that the secrets to constructing magical jewels like the Silmarils is lost, maybe forever, but lesser magical items, like the Rings of Power are very doable. In fact, it's mostly laid out in a "children's book".

I've figured out the invisibility, and enduring qualities of the Rings (obviously I don't have access to a dragon to see if it could melt one with its breath, but testing with a sledge hammer seems very promising) but I've been unable to work out other powers like being able to see the other Rings. And it's so ridiculously easy to make a Ring of Power that I'm sure there are others out there.

So I really need to talk with someone who has made their own Ring and see what you did differently.
